As a therapist, I see my role as helping kids and teens develop a sense of self and belonging and at the same time, building in them the confidence and courage to spread their wings and fly.
Children
Growing up is important work, and sometimes kids need more support than parents or teachers can provide. Many children experience intense emotions they don't have language for yet — showing up as anxiety, school avoidance, meltdowns, or difficulty with friendships.
I work with children on:
Anxiety and worry
Depression and sadness
School refusal and avoidance
Social skills and peer relationships
Emotional regulation
Life transitions (new siblings, divorce, school changes)
My approach is warm, playful, and tailored to each child — drawing on CBT, play therapy techniques, and psychoeducation. Sometimes the most important thing I can offer a child is being a consistent, trusted adult they can count on.
Teens
Adolescence is one of the most transformative - and turbulent - periods of life. Teens in Marin County face unique pressures: academic intensity, social media, identity questions, and the invisible weight of trying to look like everything is fine.
I work with teens on:
Anxiety and stress
Depression and mood
School refusal and academic pressure
Peer and family relationships
Identity and self-esteem
Life transitions
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where teens can be honest and build real skills for navigating what's ahead. I also involve parents in a thoughtful way, keeping you connected without compromising your teen's trust.
step one
Book a free, 15-minute phone consultation.
step two
If we’re a good fit to work together, we’ll schedule a 50-minute intake session. In that session, we will get to know each other and make a plan for your/your child’s/your teen’s time in therapy.
step three
I will meet weekly with your child/teen in my Greenbrae office or virtually. The length of therapy depends on you and your goals.
